Buildings Documented

Most documentation failures happen before the scanner is ever turned on — vague scope, wrong deliverable format, missed systems. Our process is engineered to eliminate every failure point, from the first phone call to your final file.

THE COMPLETE WORKFLOW

What Happens At Every Step

Why As-Built Surveys Fail (And How Our Process Prevents It)

Most documentation failures occur before the scanner is even turned on. Poor scope definition, incomplete field coverage, and weak QA processes can lead to drawings that look complete but contain costly inaccuracies.

Our workflow is designed to eliminate the most common failure points in building documentation.

Unclear Project Scope

Many survey firms begin scanning before defining deliverable requirements. Missing systems, incomplete ceiling documentation, or incorrect modeling standards can result in costly revisions later.

Our process: Scope is fully defined during Step 01, including Level of Detail, MEP systems, ceiling documentation, and file formats.

Incomplete Field Coverage

If scanning positions are poorly planned, portions of the building may be under-documented or missing entirely.

Our process: Field crews plan scan coverage to ensure complete spatial capture before leaving the site.

Misaligned Point Clouds

Improper alignment of scan positions can create dimensional errors that propagate into drawings and models.

Our process: All datasets are verified during processing before drafting begins.

Single-Person QA

Many firms rely on the same person who drafted the drawings to check their own work.

Our process: Every project undergoes an independent QA review by a second team member.

Result

The result is documentation you can actually rely on for renovation, planning, and construction decisions.

A: A field crew deploys LiDAR scanners at positions throughout your building, capturing millions of data points per second. The process is non-invasive -- no drilling, no contact with surfaces. Raw data transfers to our processing team the same day.

A: We deliver to a plus-or-minus 1/2-inch tolerance. Raw LiDAR point clouds are millimeter-accurate. All deliverables are independently QA reviewed before leaving our office.

A: Yes. We scan occupied retail stores, hotels, offices, and restaurants regularly. We coordinate with your building contact and can work after-hours or in phases to minimize disruption.

A: AutoCAD DWG, Revit RVT, PDF plans, SketchUp SKP, and raw point cloud files (RCP/E57) -- all included at no extra charge.
